I am a painter inspired by the mystery, wildness and beauty of the natural world

The proximity to nature in its largest forms such as oceans and mountains has a profound impact on my body of work. My paintings celebrate color, form and texture, these design elements coupled with the principle of movement and rhythm best describe my painting style. Never working from a preliminary sketch, I rely on an intuitive connection with the paint and materials to shape and form my work. This sense of the unknown outcome during my process aptly represents nature’s unpredictability.

My choice of acrylic paint, oil & cold wax mediums are for their versatility when traveling, with canvas, Terraskin papers and wood panels being substrates whose properties provide sustainability and working surfaces that enable a variety of effects.

Through my work, by exploring the surrounding environment in an abstracted way, my goal is to deconstruct to the extent that the meaningh shifts and the viewer is invited to embrace the realms of their imagination.
